Day 01
Depart Kuching in the morning by road to Serian and thereafter, have
a lunch at local restaurant. Next, proceed to Batang Ai Hydro Dam
where thrilling boat ride begins, crossing the man-made lake before
reaching the Engkari River. Upon arrival at the riverbank of the
longhouse, take a short 5 minute plank walk leading to the Ugat Sea
Dayak Longhouse. Experience the colorful sight and sounds of the
longhouse where large families live under one roof peacefully. Spend
the night in the longhouse with the natives. Witness the traditional
"Ngajat" or War Dance and try the "tuak" (a
potent rice wine). Overnight at the Hilton Batang Ai Resort.
Day 02
After early breakfast, depart for a jungle walk with an Iban man who
will also demonstrate his blowpipe skills. A dip in the cool river
is possible. Towards the late morning, go back down the river for
your journey back to Kuching.
Additional days from the 2 days/ 1 night itinerary allows
one more time fro jungle trekking, fishing or stay at the longhouse
and watch the natives doing their daily chores.

Damai Beach (pick-up at 8:30 am)
